Parent Volunteer Program

St. Mary's is a reflection of the sacrifice, commitment, charity and faith of all our parents, especially in the areas of participation and fundraisers. Managed by our PEC, it is through parents' efforts that students can attend special events and activities!

To volunteer at St. Mary's, please see the following information and forms: 

• Criminal Record Check Protocol
  • If you would like to volunteer at the school or go on a field trip, you’ll need to complete a Criminal Record Check first.
  • Pick up the form at the office, fill it out and return it back to the office. Ensure you have two pieces of ID available.
  • Your form will be submitted to the Criminal Records Review Program for review.
  • Once reviewed, the confirmation letter is sent directly to the school and is good for 5 years.

How Do I Sign Up for Volunteer Opportunities?

St. Mary’s Parent Volunteer Program is a cornerstone of our school community. As this program plays such an important role in our community, we have decided to take steps to help make the process easier for everyone involved, for parents, the volunteer team, and school staff.

Volunteer System

Our online software system makes it easier for parents to participate in the volunteer program. The new system automates and simplifies the volunteer process.

Each family will has their own unique password-protected website, aka "portal". From within your own portal, you will be able to:

• Easily view and quickly sign up for available volunteer tasks.

• Automatically track the volunteer tasks and associated service hours you have signed up for, or have been assigned.

• Know your real-time service hours total, any time.

• Receive/send messages from and to the Volunteer team regarding volunteer-related matters, all from within your private portal.
